About Me
Computer Engineering @ Penn State • Class of 2026
I'm Ryan Greene, a Computer Engineering student at Penn State University, graduating in May 2026. I enjoy working at the intersection of systems programming, data engineering, and embedded systems — taking ideas from theory to working prototypes, and then turning them into scalable, maintainable solutions.
During my internship at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), I authored over 10,000 lines of production SQL and helped build data migration pipelines that ingest millions of market-regulation records. I also owned a Power BI dashboard that tracked dataset usage as schemas evolved, making it easier for teams to understand what data was still in use and how changes would affect downstream reports and GenAI use cases.
One highlight was our team's 1st-place project at the 2025 FINRA Creatathon: an AI-powered contract change detection system. We used AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and Step Functions to build a serverless pipeline that scraped vendor terms & conditions, ran clause-level comparisons, and flagged high-risk changes. The system cut review time from 100+ hours to under 25.
I've built projects across embedded systems, OS concepts, data engineering, and digital design — including an HCS12 waveform generator with a 24-hour clock, a custom malloc implementation, a C-based thread synchronization library, and a 5-stage pipelined MIPS CPU.

Quantitative & Technical Trading
I have a serious interest in quantitative and technical stock trading. My style combines long-term investing, value investing frameworks, and data-driven technical analysis using ThinkorSwim, TradingView, and spreadsheet modeling.
I approach markets the same way I approach engineering: systematic, analytical, and model-driven. I've done deep dives into multiple sectors, building valuation models and tracking key metrics.
